Decide the length before you start
A run can last two minutes or twenty. Pick a number of runs, or a time on the clock, before the first slide. When you reach it, stop on a cleared level rather than chasing one more.
Use the pause
The pause button stops the clock mid-level, and switching away from the tab does the same. Nothing is lost by stepping away; the run waits exactly where you left it.
Look after eyes and thumbs
- Every twenty minutes, look at something far away for twenty seconds.
- Swap hands, or switch to the pad buttons, if your swiping thumb starts to ache.
- Turn the screen brightness down at night and stop half an hour before sleep.
A score is only a score
Points, locks and ranks have no value outside this site. They cannot be bought, sold or exchanged, and nobody can offer you anything for them. If a message or page says otherwise, it is not telling the truth.
When to take a longer break
If playing starts to feel like a must rather than a choice, or it pushes out sleep, work or people, take a few days off. Talking it through with someone you trust helps. The maze will still be here, and so will your card.
